"Ippudo, also known as Hakata Ippūdō in Japan, is a Japanese fancy-ramen restaurant chain with locations worldwide. Ippudo is well known for its tonkotsu ramen, and has been described as "the most famous tonkotsu ramen shop in the country Ippudo's original Tonkotsu broth with spicy miso and ground pork, cashew nuts, bean sprouts, spring onions, salted soft boiled egg, seaweed, pork loin and pork belly. You can actually choose the spicy level of this Karaka Special which is from Original, Level 1, Level 2 and the most spicy being Level 3. Ippudo also allow their customer to choose their noodles hardness level, there is Soft, Normal, Hard and Very Hard depending on your choice. Definitely great value for money as you not only get a choice of ramen or fried rice, but you get great quality side dishes including salmon sashimi to go with your main entree. Will need to make more weekday visits.One of the better ramen establishments in Penang. Even though the price is higher, you do get what you pay for in terms of quality. Worth a visit to get authentic Japanese ramen experience without going all the way to Japan."

"Latest review : Haven't visited for a year plus. Came back & ordered my favourite and also try new flavours. Quality well maintained, still tastes as good as before. Always a satisfying meal when I dine here. Past review : Visited a few times. 1 of my favourite ramen. The broth is thick & flavourful, especially the spicy one. There's a lot of meat chunks in the soup. People who love bold flavour will like it. The ramen texture is also to my liking. I liked their dessert as well. The pork bun is so soft & juicy The only setback is that their price is high, but it's still satisfying to eat"

"Best Ramen i had in Malaysia. Its very close to what you’d get in japan. But japanese ramen can be over salty. This one is perfect. The char shu is absolutely delicious. I see myself just swimming in this meat in my afterlife. The saba was fried very nicely and tastes great! The fried rice is nice but just ok for my taste. The place is so comfortable, the lighting is just tge right intensity and it made me feel right at home. The service was great, but i guess the service crew was kind of like vibing, he didnt notice me waving to order. OVERALL, AWESOME! Must try!"

"The ambience of the restaurant is classy yet cosy. There is plenty of privacy as each individual table is set quite far apart; making it a lovely dining experience. The service rendered was warm and attentive. The food was delicious and the dishes arrived promptly. Although, we felt that the prices were on the high side and did not commensurate with the portions served. We have enjoyed our meal immensely and will return to try other dishes. Highly recommend!"
